Blue Sky Films is a small team of filmmakers that are fully dedicated to making beautiful wedding films. We are proud to have Blue Sky documenting the Mid-Atlantic Green Wedding Showcase and exhibiting at the event.

A little more about these talented filmmakers... in their own words...

Our attention to the detail and emotion of the day are unparalleled. We are able to offer a unique one-on-one experience with our clients that make their wedding film a true keepsake of their day. What sets us apart from our competition is our approach to wedding filmmaking, and it's truly an art form for us.

We are always looking for new ways to be innovative and fresh. We offer different types of editing that tailor to any bride and groom's tastes, whether it be more natural and organic, or more cinematic and dynamic. Not to mention, we are shooting all of your events in high definition, so that our clients are on the fore-front of the BEST technology.

Blue Sky is committed to the environment, too. Some of our green initiatives include a paperless work environment, carpooling to weddings, recycling at the office, and several individual employees walk to work, practice vegan diets and volunteer with animal rights groups. We try to book weddings to the closest videographer to that area so avoide large amounts of driving and we donated to Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) Polar Bear Plunge for the past 3 years. Electronics are turned off at night and editting is done during the day time with out our lights on to utilize daylight.

Tips for the Bride and Groom...

Have your rehearsal dinner filmed!! After their wedding, many clients say they wish they would have purchased that service, since so many funny and heartfelt toasts happen that night. Also, have us design a photo montage of growing-up pictures. It's so wonderful to see Grandparents and Parents crying during the montage when they see their babies growing up and now getting married. :-) Use video as a promotional tool to show family and friends what steps you are taking to create a green wedding. Awareness is such a valuable tool! Recycle at your wedding!
